Starting in Houston, TX in 2016 Black Restaurant Week’s purpose is to celebrate the cuisines of Black cultures across the globe. Black Restaurant Week is a series of culinary events that highlights a wide range of small businesses across the nation, that not only focuses on restaurants but, they also include events for caterers, food trucks and bartenders. Amid the pandemic in 2020, BRW has taken the leap from larger markets like Houston, Los Angeles and Atlanta, into the Midwest region to include Kansas City, St. Louis, Indianapolis, Minneapolis, Chicago, Columbus, Louisville, Cincinnati, Detroit and more. The Midwest Region of Black Restaurant Week kicks off Friday July 24th - Sunday August 2nd, 2020! Follow their Instagram account for the latest updates in real time!
