Future Soul Playlist
This playlist is an audio mood board of R&B songs that remind me of the 1970s era (disco & funk) as well as house music era that stretches from the mid 70s til the early 90s. I feel like the singers and musicians that are creating music today in 2021 would benefit from creating art that’s more reminiscent of those eras. Especially looking at how those genres of music have been completely gentrified and white-washed away the Black musicians that originated what’s more widely known today as “EDM” (electronic dance music).
